Exciting news for comedy fans in Cambridge as the Cambridge Fringe Comedy Festival is due to return on Sunday 26 May (it’s a bank holiday so don’t worry about getting up on Monday!).
Following the success of last year’s event, the Fringe has expanded to four venues across the river from Jesus Green and will host more than 40 shows from some of the most promising names in UK comedy.
Full line-up details have not been made public but organisers have revealed that the headliner is circuit veteran Marlon Davis who has had sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival, appeared on Live At the Apollo and supported the likes of Kevin Bridges and Alan Carr. Your evening is in very safe hands.
Hour-long shows will take place throughout the day starting at 11am at The Portland Arms, The Waterman, The Thirsty and the Boathouse. And going by last year’s line-up it’ll be a mixture of local favourites and more established names from the rest of the country.
And the best news of all? It’s all FREE!!! Although audience may want to bring a few coins along to put in a bucket at the end.
We’ll bring you more details as soon as we hear more.
